Project Overview:

The Garum Cafe Design & Build Project is a comprehensive, turnkey development aimed at creating a vibrant and contemporary cafe space at Mirdiff Avenue Mall in Dubai. Covering a total area of 300 sq meters, the project will involve the complete design, construction, and fit-out of the cafe, from initial concept through to the final handover.

Build Craft Interiors, the contractor for this project, will manage both the design and construction elements, ensuring a smooth and integrated process. The goal is to craft a space that offers a comfortable, modern, and aesthetically appealing environment for customers, with an emphasis on enhancing the overall dining experience.

Scope of Work

1. Conceptual Design:

Interior Design: A modern and welcoming interior with a focus on creating a cozy yet stylish atmosphere. The design will incorporate trendy design elements, neutral tones with pops of color, and a comfortable seating arrangement.
Layout Planning: Efficient space planning for optimal seating arrangements, traffic flow, and functionality, maximizing the 300 sq meter area.
Brand Identity Integration: The design will reflect Garum Cafe’s brand ethos, with specific attention to signage, logo placement, and overall ambiance that resonates with the target audience.

2. Construction & Build:

Structural Work: Complete structural modifications and construction, including any necessary alterations to the existing mall layout to accommodate the new cafe space.
Electrical and Lighting: Installation of electrical systems, lighting design (including mood lighting), and ensuring optimal electrical setups for kitchen equipment, serving areas, and customer seating.
HVAC System: Ensuring proper air conditioning, ventilation, and heating systems to maintain a comfortable environment for both customers and staff.

3. Interior Fit-Out:

Flooring and Wall Finishes: Selection of durable, stylish flooring materials and wall treatments that complement the overall design and suit the heavy foot traffic of a cafe setting.
Furniture and Fixtures: Custom-designed furniture pieces such as tables, chairs, and counters, built to fit the space while providing comfort and functionality.
Decor and Ambiance: Integration of interior decor elements like artwork, lighting fixtures, and plants to create a visually appealing and pleasant environment.
Cafe Kitchen & Bar Area: A fully functional kitchen setup, including workstations, storage, and appliances necessary for a high-performing kitchen. Additionally, the bar area will be designed to serve as a focal point of the space.

4. MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Works:

Plumbing: Installation of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and waste systems for the kitchen and restrooms.
Mechanical Systems: Ventilation systems, air conditioning, and heating mechanisms will be strategically planned to ensure comfort in both the front-of-house and kitchen areas.
Electrical Systems: Proper electrical infrastructure to power lighting, equipment, and outlets, ensuring efficiency and safety.

5. Quality Control & Compliance:

Safety and Compliance: All works will comply with local regulations and building codes in Dubai, including safety standards and fire prevention measures.
Final Inspections: Regular inspections will be conducted throughout the build to ensure quality and adherence to the design, with a final inspection before handover to ensure the project is completed to the highest standard.

Timeline & Completion:

The project timeline for the Garum Cafe was 45 Days, with the objective of completing the design, construction, and fit-out phases promptly, ensuring the cafe is ready for operation as planned. Regular updates and milestone checks will ensure the project is completed to schedule, and any unforeseen challenges are addressed promptly.
